PESTEX HEAT TREATMENTS

Heat Treatments address termite and bed bug infestations and their eggs with an approach that is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, chemical-free, and normally takes under a day.

Home should feel safe. Nobody wants termites or bed bugs as house guests (they never use coasters). Heat treatments can be an effective approach to removing these critters from your space to recover your chill and peace of mind.

Pestex Heat Treatments are a green approach to pest control utilizing portable, electric industrial-fans and heaters to raise and maintain a lethal temperature in an area infested by termites, bed bugs and the eggs they lay.

Pestex will raise the heat of the entire space to temperatures typically between 120-150°F for several hours to penetrates hard to reach areas without harsh chemicals. In preparation, Pestex will help you identify and reconfigure potential hindrances to allow the heat to fully penetrate all areas!

Pestex Heat Treatments: How does it Work?

  • Initial inspection
    • Setting up industrial electric heaters at key locations in the treatment zone.
    • Follow up with high-velocity fans to circulate heated air through the space to maximize penetration through all cracks, crevices, and hard-to-reach spots where pests love to hide.
    • Temperature control monitoring is conducted by a Pestex professional and employs remote sensors to ensure proper temperature through the space and the treatment process.

Benefits of Pestex Heat Treatments include:

  • Highly effective: Heat can eliminate pests in ALL life stages (eggs, nymphs, and adults).
  • Avoids chemicals: Heat is a green, eco-friendly solution that doesn’t rely on pesticides or involve any toxic chemicals.
  • Very fast: Treatments are often completed in under a day, with minimal disruptions after proper preparation.
  • Long-lasting: Pests can develop a resistance to some chemical treatments, but not to properly applied heat.
  • Safe: Heat treatments are safe for humans, pets, and the mother nature, leaving no toxic residue.

Steps for Pestex Heat Treatments

  1. Preparation: A Pestex professional will provide a detailed checklist during the initial inspection for you to follow.
  2. Protect items: Remove or protect heat-sensitive items like electronics, aerosols, candles, and some furniture.
  3. Ensure airflow: Loosen tightly packed items, like in a closet, to allow hot air to circulate freely.
  4. Remove batteries: remove batteries from smoke detectors right before the heat treatment
  5. Vacate the premises: Residents and pets leave the treatment zone for the duration of the treatment, which can be up to 48 hours.
  6. Notify professionals: Inform Pestex of your concerns about items that might be heat-sensitive, such as certain furniture, wallpaper, magnets, or built-in appliances.
